Lake City, Colorado, Hotel
Welcome to the Bonosearch page for Hotel in Lake City, Colorado, Hotel, Colorado
One of the earliest settlements in western Colorado, Lake City served as a railroad shipping center for the gold and silver mines of the surrounding San Juan Mountains. Since then, agriculture and ranching have taken the forefront, and the town's population has fallen to a tenth of what it was.
Lake City remains a showplace for Victorian architecture; most of the town's old buildings, dating from the 1870s to 1900, have been restored and preserved as a National Historic District (one of the largest in the state); walking tour maps are available. Five nearby mountains provide plenty of mountain climbing, biking, fishing and horseback riding opportunities. Lake San Cristobal is nearby.
Bonosearch allows you to get precise results when you only want to consider a certain kind of Web site in a specific location: city, region, or state. For example, with a regular search engine, if you wanted to find "rooms" as a feature for "Hotel" in Lake City and Colorado, you would type into the search box something like:
rooms hotel lake city colorado
...and the search engine would look for all four keywords. With Bonosearch, you decide in advance what location you want and what category. The Bonosearch staff has identified hundreds of thousands of URLs belonging to real people, places, businesses, and organizations and identified the location and best category for each, so when you use Bonosearch, you only enter the keyword. Spurious results are mostly avoided.
