The big waters of Pend Oreille, Coeur d'Alene, and Priest Lake, set against lush evergreen mountains, make up Idaho's Northern Region. Comprising the counties of Boundary, Bonner, Kootenai, Shoshone, and Benewah, North Idaho contains the great concentration of lakes in any Western state.
