Saratoga Springs

Saratoga Springs is located in Saratoga County 15 miles south of Glens Falls along Interstate 87 near Saratoga Spa State Park in the Central Region of the region. Saratoga Springs is renowned for the beauty of its setting, the reputed health giving properties of its waters and the gaiety of its summer life. The resort also is gaining popularity as a year round sports and convention center. Many of the large Victorian homes in the area were built by wealthy horse racing patrons.

Summer activities center on the racetracks. Harness races are held in the summer months. Thoroughbred races are held in August. Saratoga Springs is part of the Albany-Schenectady-Troy, New York metro area.
