Ashtabula
Ashtabula, incorporated in 1891, is located in northeastern Ohio in Ashtabula County on Lake Erie north of Jeffersonville between genevaon and northkin along U.S. 20 and SRs 84 and 531. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 21,472, a decrease of 161 since 1990.
For those seeking a post-high school education, the town is host to a branch of Kent State University.
In addition to the obvious water-related activities on and around Lake Erie, other recreational opportunities include shooting some golf at either Ashtabula Country Club or Chapel Hills Golf Course.
