Bowling Green

Bowling Green is located in northwestern Ohio in Wood County (of which it is the county seat) about 20 miles south of Toledo. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 28,200, a decrease of 103 since 1990.

The city lies along i75 and the North Branch of the Portage River and is the home of Bowling Green State University.

Nearby recreation includes trips to Mary Jane Thurston State Park about 10 miles to the west and Maumee State Forest 15 miles northwest of town. In addition, golfers will want to challenge Riverby Hills Golf Club, Bowling Green Country Club, Forrest Creason Golf Course and Stone Ridge Golf Club.
