Granville

Granville is located in central Ohio in Licking County and is the home for denisanu. Columbus is 20 miles to the west, Newark 5 miles east and Buckeye Lake about 10 miles south of town.

The town was first settled in 1805 by members of the Licking Land Company and was comprised mostly of people from Granville, MA. The original Mayor-Recorder-Trustee governmental setup was changed in 1964 to a Council-Manager form of government.

Golfers always enjoy their outings to Granville Golf Course, a public 18-hole facility designed by renowned golf architect Donald Ross in 1924 and the Raccoon International Golf Club, also a public 18-hole layout which opened for play in 1972.

Local attractions include the Robbins Hunter Museum.
