Mansfield
Mansfield is located in northern Ohio in Richland County (of which it is the county seat) 65 miles southwest of Cleveland. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 49,802, a decrease of 825 since 1990.
Outdoor recreation is close at hand at Clear Fork Reservoir, a 1,000 acre impound with 14 miles of shoreline, less than 10 miles to the southwest and Charles Mill Lake about the same distance to the east.
Golfers will appreciate the number of courses from which to choose. Oaktree Golf Club and Forest Hills Golf Course are public 18-hole courses, Coolridge Golf Course is a public 9-hole facility, Wooldridge Woods Golf & Swim Club and Twin Lakes Golf Course are semi-private 18-hole layouts that have an open guest policy and Westbrook Country Club, a private club but with a reciprocal guest policy for members of other clubs.
