Marion

Marion is located in Marion County (of which it is the county seat) about 40 miles north of Columbus. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 32,281, a decrease of 1,794 since 1990.

Outdoor recreation can be found nearby in and around the Scioto River 5 miles southwest of town, the Olentangy River about 8 miles to the east and Delaware Lake and delawasp about 10 miles south of town.

Mar-O-Del Golf Course, a public 18-hole facility and Marion Country Club, a private club with a reciprocal guest agreement for members of other clubs invite golfers to enjoy a round with them.

Local attractions include the Marion County Museum of History, the President Harding Home and Museum and the Harding Memorial.

Ohio State University at Marion is available for those wanting higher education.
