North Canton
North Canton is located in northeast Ohio in Stark County about 45 miles south-southeast of Cleveland. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 15,601, an increase of 697 since 1990.
The city is home to Walsh University for those seeking higher education. They pride themselves in their strong liberal arts and sciences tradition. One of their strongest majors is the Bachelor of Science in Nursing where graduates have the fullest confidence of passing the National Counsel of Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses which is required in order to practice as an RN.
Outdoor lovers can find watersports at the potalak and Nimisila Reservoir just northwest of town. In addition golfers have their choice of Bob-O-Link Golf Club, a public 36-hole facility (North and South courses) and Edgewood Golf Club, a mature 18-hole course built in 1922.
