Stow

Stow is located in northeastern Ohio in Summit County just northeast of Akron. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 31,357, an increase of 3,359 since 1990.

The town is named for Joshua Stow of Middlefield, CT. Although he never actually lived in the town he was part of the conglomerate known as the Connecticut Land Company which was organized to sell off about 3 million acres of land purchased from the Connecticut Western Reserve.

Fox Den Golf Course is a public 18-hole facility open to golfers of all skill levels while Roses Run Country Club is a semi-private club offering the public a challenging 18-hole course. For those just wanting to work on their short game or juniors trying to learn the game, Leisure Time Recreation offers an 18-hole, par 3-style course.
