Washington Court House
Washington Court House is located in southwestern Ohio in Fayette County (of which it is the county seat) 35 miles southwest of Columbus.
One of the highlights of summer is the Fayette County Fair the fourth week in July. The agricultural gathering of the year, featuring demolition derbies, tractor and truck pulls, harness racing and many other exciting events. In addition, the Scarecrow Festival, a quaint street festival featuring rides, craft show, live entertainment, pageants, parade, cruise-in, tractor show, childrens activities and more, is held in mid-September.
Outdoor lovers usually head to Deer Creek Lake and Deer Creek State Park located about 15 miles northeast of town.
