Elizabethton

Elizabethton is located in Carter County (of which it is the county seat) northeast of Johnson City along US Highway 321 on the banks of the Doe River near Watauga Lake and Cherokee National Forest. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 13,211, an increase of 124 since 1990.
